Become a patient

Start with a two-hour exam.

Dr. John sees patients in Denver, Colorado. People travel from across the country for their care.

How it works

  1. Apply

Fill out the online enrollment form. It tells the team about your history and what you're hoping for.

  2. Talk with the team

A patient coordinator contacts you to answer questions and schedule your exam.

  3. Your new-patient exam

Two hours with Dr. John: an in-depth exam, a bite evaluation and a review of your medical records, with time to talk about your whole health.

  4. Your plan

If treatment makes sense, you get a plan for the whole mouth, with timing that works if you're traveling.

Cost and insurance

The practice doesn't bill dental insurance. Dr. John's view is that insurance rules shouldn't decide your care. Call the office to talk about cost and payment options.

Not in Denver yet? Book a virtual consult.

One-on-one time with Dr. John to talk about your dental health, get a second opinion on a diagnosis, or plan a visit. A consult is education and a second opinion; it doesn't replace an exam.

Common questions

Do you do root canals?

No. Dr. John doesn't perform root canals. If you've been told you need one, his root canal course explains the procedure, the research and the alternatives, so you can decide with full information.

Can you remove my old mercury fillings?

Yes, with protective protocols for you and the team, and metal-free replacements.

Do you use fluoride?

Dr. John doesn't use fluoride in treatment. He'll walk you through his reasons and the research on both sides, and the choice is yours.

I'm coming from out of state. How does that work?

Many patients travel. The team will help you plan the timing of your exam and any treatment. A virtual consult is a good first step from home.

Is this covered by insurance?

The practice doesn't bill dental insurance. Ask the office about payment options.

Is anything on this site advice for my situation?

No. Everything here is education. Only an exam can tell what applies to you.
